ADHD in adults
Article Abstract:
A diagnosis of adult attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) that was once considered a disorder of the elementary-school years is persisting into adulthood and impairing functioning. Genetic studies have so far implicated at least seven genes in influencing susceptibility to ADHD, where most code for proteins that affect the levels or functioning of a neurotransmitter-dopamine, norepinephrine, or serotonin, at nerve synapses in the brain.

Brave new face
Article Abstract:
Plastic surgeon, Maria Siemionow, is studying the photographs and reading the medical records of severely disfigured people, looking for the ideal candidate to undergo the world's first transplantation of an entire face. Psychologically, adjustment to a dramatically changed face would be a gradual and potentially difficult process for recipients and their families.
