Article Abstract:
Sex education programs in public schools does not lead to promiscuous behavior or an increase in sexual activity, contrary to some uneducated beliefs. These programs keep youth informed about the wise choices that are to be made before engaging in sexual activity and the consequences of not taking proper precautions.

Culture and preventative care at school: Geneva
Article Abstract:
Because as many as 60% of Geneva's students are non-Swiss, the city's health education programs for schoolchildren require a multicultural approach. The approach is based on promoting tolerance among schoolchildren for different lifestyles, backgrounds and attitudes.

Sociocultural factors are strong incentives in many cultures for drug or alcohol abuse. The imposition of bans on drug and alcohol abuse are often ineffective because the abuse is such an integral part of the culture.
