AMA board to study specialty representation in house
Article Abstract:
The American Medical Assn is considering a proposal to "vest" seats in its House of Delegates, preserving power for 82 specialty society representatives. While the move would permanently empower 82 specialty groups that have supported the AMA, it would also freeze ownership of the seats, despite changes in the medical system that could render some societies obsolete.
