Antiphospholipid antibodies in women at risk for preeclampsia
Article Abstract:
Antiphospholipid antibodies do not appear to be a risk factor for preeclampsia, a serious complication of pregnancy. This is true even in women with a history of preeclampsia. For this reason, it is probably not necessary to test pregnant women for these autoantibodies.

Predictors of pre-eclampsia in women at high risk
Article Abstract:
Being pregnant for the first time and an elevated mean arterial pressure (MAP) in the second trimester were risk factors for pregnant women already at risk for preeclampsia. Researchers examined the physiological aspects of 2,503 women with various health problems indicative of preeclampsia. Increased MAP remained a risk factor for preeclampsia in women with a history of previous pregnancies.
