Is an automated answering system the answer?
Article Abstract:
Automated telephone answering systems can save time and effort for a group physician practice. A system can direct phone calls to specific extensions and take messages for prescription refills and other basic needs. Recorded greetings on the system should be friendly, helpful and brief. When patients reach an employee, they should receive assistance and courtesy.
