Article Abstract:
The US Senate passed a bill, the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2005, on 17 February 2005, which would be good for medicine, science and the nation. Americans were haunted by the fear of genetic discrimination that is generally focused on employment and health insurance, since insurers have an incentive to identify and avoid clients who will cost them more money than the average client, but banning this discrimination might bring lots of relief to them.
