The health care environment influences the patient's sense of well being and has an impact on their health and safety. Therefore it is important to maintain high standards of hygiene during hand washing in addition to environmental cleaning and basic equipment decontamination that helps reduce the risk of patients acquiring health-care-associated infection (HAL).
