Beyond the pill: New data and options in hormonal and intrauterine conception
Article Abstract:
A clinical opinion provided an update regarding older hormonal and intrauterine contraceptives and details newer methods that include the progestin-releasing intrauterine system, the contraceptives patch and ring, and extended and emergency oral contraception. The main goal of this clinical opinion was to help clinicians facilitate contraceptive success for their patients.

The effect of hormonal contraception on the adequacy of colposcopic examination of the cervix
Article Abstract:
A study was undertaken to determine whether the use of hormonal contraception affects the adequacy of colposcopic examination of the cervix. The result indicates that the use of combination oral contraceptives is associated with an increased likelihood of adequate colposcopy.
