Efficacy of topical treatment with aescin and essential phospholipids gel in venous insufficiency and hypertension
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to examine the efficacy of an aescin and essential phospholipids (AEPL) gel on the microcirculation measuring treanscutaneous skin PO2 and PCO2 subjects with chronic venous insufficiency, venous hypertension (CVH), and venous microangiopathy. The results reveal that the local treatment with AEPL in the areas of microangiopathy is effective in improving skin perfusion and nutrition and prevents venous ulcerations.

Microcirculatory efficacy of topical treatment with Aescin + essential phospholipids gel on transcutaneous PO2 in venous insufficiency
Article Abstract:
The efficacy of the effects of Aescin and essential phospholipids (AEPL) gel on the microcirculation in subjects with chronic venous insufficiency, venous hypertension (CVH) and venous microangiopathy is evaluated. The studies on the considerations of transcutaneous PO2 indicate that the topical treatment with AEPL in areas of venous microangiopathy is beneficial for preventing ulceration, and improving the skin healing.

Variations in plasma free radicals with topical Aescin + essential phospholipids gel in venous hypertension: new clinical data
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to evaluate the effects of Aescin and essential phospholipids (AEPL) gel on plasma free radicals (PFRs). The conclusion states that evaluation of PFR is an important new physiologic parameter that can be associated with other noninvasive tests to study the microcirculation and its evolution as well as improvement with systemic or tropical medical treatment.
