Marshfield case dismissed
Article Abstract:
Wisconsin's Marshfield Clinic appears to have won its legal battle with Blue Cross and Blue Shield United of Wisconsin, but at a cost of over $5 million in legal expenses. A federal judge ruled that Blue Cross/Shield had no introduceable evidence that would allow a jury to determine what damages, if any, the organization had suffered. The battle resulted from Marshfield's collusion with a competitor to share the Wausau, WI, market.
