Bottom line: value: how a recently approved reorganization of the Federation of Medicine will benefit you
Article Abstract:
The recommendations made by the American Medical Association (AMA) House of Delegates on reorganizing the Federation of Medicine aim to improve the responsiveness of national and state professional medical organizations to physicians' needs. They entail increasing the accountability of these organizations to physicians by widening the role of the latter in selecting representatives making the AMA House of Delegates larger. The recommendations also stipulate that rules for advocating policy be established to make the Federation a more effective lobbying force.

AMA vows to bring science into late-term abortion debate
Article Abstract:
The American Medical Association (AMA) House of Delegates will remain neutral on the issue of late-term abortions until it is able to bring appropriate practice guidelines and sound scientific grounding to the debate. Until the guidelines are developed, the AMA house will continue to support its policy that abortion, in any form, is a medical matter and should be decided between a patient and physician.
