Bunions: From shoe selection to surgery
Article Abstract:
A bunion is an abnormal, large bony protrusion that forms at the base of the big toe, which occurs from misalignment or repositioning of the bones of the feet, often forcing the big toe to crowd against other toes. Bunions could be prevented by using right shoes and could also be treated with arch supports, padding, medications and physical therapy, but surgery is required only in extreme cases.
