C. difficile is linked to the overuse of PPIs
Article Abstract:
Experts in antimicrobial resistance have warned that overprescribing of proton-pump inhibitor (PPI) drugs could be adding to the problem of increasing rates of Clostridium difficile. The strength of the link between PPIs and Clostridium difficile would be reviewed and further it would be decided whether action needs to be taken.

Sperm count study shows fall
Article Abstract:
A recent study of 7,513 men from 1989 to 2002 shows that sperm counts have decreased by as much as thirty percent from an average of 65.88 million/ml to 45.22 million/ml. There has also been an increase in the number of men seeking treatment for fertility problems.
