Cancer - more than a star sign
Article Abstract:
A patient describes how it feels to be told he has an extensive malignant tumour and how he copes with the feelings and fights the disease. His naval training has contributed to his ability to cope. As part of the fight he has listed positive thoughts from which to draw strength and used meditation to control his pulse and cope with pain. He has also made an effort to restore his bruised self-image.

Cancer care: how nurses cope
Article Abstract:
Both specialist cancer nurses and general nurses care for patients suffering from cancer in the UK. Community nurses are playing an increasing role in caring for cancer sufferers. Services are not being improved as quickly as they ought because there is a lack of specialist nurses. Greater training is needed for nurses to fulfill their role in caring for their patients.
