Caring for patients after mechanical ventilation: Part 2: Nursing care to prevent complications
Article Abstract:
Careful monitoring and high-quality nursing are important when patients are discontinued from artificial mechanical ventilation. A discussion is presented on the potential complications as well as respiratory, cardiac, physical and psychological effects. Effective communication with patients and their families to minimize stress and anxiety is a part of nursing care.

Admission to adolescent units: Patients' and parents' views
Article Abstract:
The views of young patients and their parents about admission to an adolescent psychiatric unit were investigated. The results showed that young people and their parents have more accurate perceptions of psychiatry than previously assumed, and findings indicate a link between young people's and their parents' views in some areas.
