Case 21-2004: a 63-year-old man with metastatic prostate carcinoma refractory to hormone therapy
Article Abstract:
A 63-year-old man was to be operated for radical prostatectomy, as he was not responding to hormone therapy. The procedure was terminated because on intraoperative examination of specimens obtained by bilateral pelvic lymphnode biopsy, the involvement of metastatic prostate cancer was grossly evident.

The case of a 28-year-old man referred to a hospital for consultation on the management of an enlarging testicular mass is described. A discussion on the diagnosis and treatment of mixed germ-cell tumor (embryonal carcinoma, teratoma, and scant yolk-sac tumor) is presented.
