Changes in HIV-related preventive behavior in the US population
Article Abstract:
The trends of 1987-2002 in preventive behaviors closely related to HIV from several large dhiv prevvproviding the latest data are estimated. After the considerable increase in preventive behaviors, it is still possible to identify a large segment of the population that is at risk for transmitting HIV.

Prevalence of sexual and drug-related HIV risk behaviors in the U.S. adult population: results of the 1996 National Household Survery on Drug Abuse
Article Abstract:
Many Americans still behave in ways that put them at risk of HIV infection. Data from the 1996 National Household Survey on Drug Abuse indicate that 5 million Americans have a high risk from sexual practices or drug use. Drug users were more likely to have risky sexual practices.

Updated estimates of healthcare utilization and costs among perinatally HIV-infected children
Article Abstract:
Changes in the healthcare use among perinatally HIV-infected children are examined and new estimates of expected lifetime treatment costs are developed. Results revealed that hospitalizations among perinatally HIV-infected children decreased significantly from 1995 to 2001.
