Placenta previa: neonatal death after live births in the United States
Article Abstract:
Babies born to women with placenta previa are three times more likely to die at birth than other newborn babies, according to a study of 3,773,369 pregnancies. The increased death rate was caused predominantly by premature birth. Placenta previa occurs when the placenta is so low inside the uterus that it partially or completely blocks the opening into the vagina.

The association of parity with mortality outcomes among triplets
Article Abstract:
The association of parity with stillbirth and neonatal and infant death among triplets are evaluated. It was observed that the nulliparity was associated with the risk of intrauterine fetal death among triplets and specifies the need for care providers to be concerned about triplet gestations among nulliparous mothers.

Perinatal mortality associated with abruptio placenta in singletons and multiples
Article Abstract:
The association among number of fetuses per pregnancy, abruptio placenta, and perinatal mortality is investigated. As plurality increases, the risk of placental abruption rises, whereas the risk of abruptio-associated perinatal mortality declines.
