Chronic pain in wounds: A report on 11 case studies
Article Abstract:
A total of eleven case studies of patients with painful wounds who were supplied with a new ibuprofen-impregnated dressing are studied to analyze and explain their effectiveness. The analysis reveals that as only a knowledgeable and appropriate use of dressings can help in pain control of a patient, use of ibuprofen-impregnated dressing acts as an important tool to enable nurses to ease the pain of patients.

Use of oxygen therapy
Article Abstract:
The treatment of wounds with topical hyperbaric oxygen is effective, despite anecdotal evidence that it dries wounds out. Case studies show that topical oxygen improves the healing of wounds which were not getting better before. In a US study of arterial ulcers, 67% of ulcers had healed after three weeks of hyperbaric oxygen treatment.
