Chronic toxic encephalopathy in a painter exposed to mixed solvents
Article Abstract:
Researchers describe the neuropsychological effects of long-term exposure to paint and solvent fumes. The patient's symptoms, including persistent cognitive deficit, short-term memory loss, and dementia, were consistent with chronic toxic encephalopathy.

Relationship between allergic contact dermatitis and electrophilicity
Article Abstract:
The structure-activity relationship of electrophilic and nonelectrophilic subsets of chemicals in allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) were studied. The analysis found that electrophilicity contributes to ACD as does other nonelectrophilic structures.

Occupational asthma and contact dermatitis in a spray painter after introduction of an aziridine cross-linker
Article Abstract:
The polyfunctional aziridine cross-linker CX-100 was identified as the cause for a case of contact dermatitis and respiratory difficulty in a spray painter. This case shows the need for appropriate work practices and protective equipment.
