Article Abstract:
Physicians or medical students have participated in callousness in the treatment of patients in response to an order of a resident or an attending physician though it conflicted with their expressed desires or moral principles. Hence, it is important to discuss this problem and its solutions and integrate them in the training programs.

Military physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals have served with courage in Iraq and other theaters of war since September 11, 2001. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) stated that medical personnel during any war actively participate to take proper care of detainees.

Article Abstract:
A case of a 75-year-old woman suffering from type2 diabetes mellitus and peripheral vascular disease is presented. It is suggested that physicians must have the ability to evaluate their patient's impaired decision-making capacities.
