Past SCS presidents
Article Abstract:
Eight former presidents of the Society for Computer Simulation (SCS) offer their memories and insights into the society. R.M. Howe, who served as president from 1956-1957, when SCS was still called Simulation Councils Inc (SCi), discusses his memories of the Simulation Council Newsletters. Jack Sherman, who served as president from 1960 to 1962, discusses, among other things, his role in trying to get SCi acknowledged as a sponsoring member of the joint Computer Conference activities. Maughan Mason, 1962-1964, gives his view of how SCS became the sole sponsor of the SCSC. P.J. Hermann, 1964-1966, focuses on the situation that existed prior to his term as SCS president. Contributions by James Wolle, 1966-1968; George Rahe, 1972-1973; Stewart Schlesinger, 1979-82; and Carl W. Malstrom, 1990-1992, are also provided.
