Cytokine therapy for Crohn's disease: Advances in translational research
Article Abstract:
Crohn's disease (CD) is an inflammatory bowel disease, and cytokines are vital in the pathogenesis of CD. New concepts in CD pathogenesis and roles of cytokines in the initiation and perpetuation of disease, and the application of cytokine-based therapies in human clinical trials and preclinical animal studies, are discussed.

Herpes simplex: insights on pathogenesis and possible vaccines
Article Abstract:
Several human genetic studies are conducted to explain the severity, pathogenesis, as well as the vaccines available for the prevention of herpes simplex virus (HSV). The findings show that the HSV-2 transmission can be easily decreased by the suppression of the viral shedding by using the nucleoside analog drugs.
