Dermatitis
Article Abstract:
Contact dermatitis, also termed eczema, is estimated to cause the loss of 3 million working days per year in the UK. Many individuals with dermatitis lose their jobs and their self-respect through prejudice based on their appearance. There is no cure for dermatitis; prevention is key to controlling outbreaks. Research continues on the causes of the disease. Case studies of two people with dermatitis, a hairdresser and an electronics worker, are included.
