Despite the odds-providing reproductive health care to Afghan women
Article Abstract:
The health care facilities in Afghanistan were destroyed by the war, and women's health had suffered from the violence of warfare, the lack of economic development, and the strengthening of Islamic fundamentalism. Though a hospital was started for Afghan refugee women in Quetta to provide for better reproductive health services, the facilities are lacking in most parts of Afghanistan.

The developing physician -- Becoming a professional
Article Abstract:
The educational and training medical centers need to educate and develop professional behaviors in medical students and residents in medical care. It is advised that a comprehensive program should address the broad concept of teaching which includes setting expectations, providing experiences and evaluating outcomes.

The poor infrastructure is a substantial barrier to access to medical care in Afghanistan. Few cases on poor medical access in Mir Wais Hospital, in Kandahar, are discussed.
