Detached retina
Article Abstract:
A detached retina is very serious and almost always causes blindness unless it is treated and it occurs most often in middle-aged and older people. It requires surgery to return the retina to its correct position and there are several procedures, all of which use laser surgery or cryotherapy to seal retinal tears.

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a major factor in bronchiolitis and pneumonia in young children, and sporadic acute bronchitis and mild upper respiratory tract infections in adults. The causes for RSV, its symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and prevention are discussed.
