Develop policies to avoid sexual harassment problems
Article Abstract:
Sexual harassment problems, which are illegal under state and federal laws, are difficult and costly to businesses. For example, victims can file state civil suits which have resulted in awards of up to $1 million. Harassment problems can occur if sexual favors are demanded in exchange for a work-related benefit or if a hostile work environment is created for the victim. To avoid these situations, offices can institute a written sexual harassment policy and formal complaint procedure, treat all complaints seriously and follow through on any disciplinary action.

Organization culture is the key to total quality management
Article Abstract:
Total quality management (TQM), if it is to be implemented successfully, must be supported by an organizational culture that seeks to integrate organizational parts and encourages employees to look for ways to improve quality rather than assign blame. However, the whole process hinges on recruiting and hiring employees whose personality and career goals are sympathetic to the empowerment process inherent in TQM. Those who are not team-oriented and require close supervision ar a regimented performance appraisal system will not function optimally under TQM.

The necessary steps in hiring the best employees
Article Abstract:
Front-office management should include training employees how to use effective employment methods. By using effective methods, productivity will increase, turnover will diminish and training time will be shortened. The employment process should give each applicant an equal opportunity to display their particular skills. These skills and tasks should then be considered in light of critical job issues.
