Association of maternal short stature with stunting in Mexican children: common genes vs common environment
Article Abstract:
The association between stunting in children and maternal short stature was evaluated in Mexican children. Maternal stature appeared to contribute to child height independently of shared risk factors that might affect stature. However much of the association between stunting and maternal short stature can be explained by environmental factors.
