Tolerability and safety of HIV protease inhibitors in adults
Article Abstract:
Protease Inhibitors (PI)-based antiretroviral therapy (ART) has dramatically improved the prognosis for HIV-infected patients. PIs remain a critical component of successful ART. The two recently approved PIs demonstrate improved subjective and metabolic tolerability profiles, which should lead to increased choice of PI-based as a component of antiretroviral treatment.

Cost-effectiveness of enfuvirtide in treatment-experienced patients with advanced HIV disease
Article Abstract:
The potential long-term clinical impact and cost-effective of enfuvirtide (ENF) in HIV patients is determined. The results revealed that in highly treatment-experienced patient, ENF plus an optimized background regimen (OBR) provides substantial gains in quality-adjusted life expectancy compared with an OBR alone.
