The AIDS Research Consortium of Atlanta database
Article Abstract:
The AIDS Research Consortium of Atlanta (ARCA) is a nonprofit research project in Georgia tracking HIV infection in over 15,000 patients as part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Adult Spectrum of Disease Study (ADS). Although the project lacks sufficient funding to monitor every enrolled patient, ARCA has provided data on the development and progression of HIV and AIDS, responses to drug therapy, and HIV risk factors.

Elevated serum macrophage inhibitory factor-related protein (MRP) 8/14 levels in advanced HIV infection and during disease exacerbation
Article Abstract:
This is a study of macrophage inhibitory factor-related proteins (MRP's) 8 and 14 and a combination called 8/14. Their presence seems consistent enough with progression of HIV infection to be used as markers for prognostic evaluation.
