Eating away at well-being
Article Abstract:
Nurses find it hard to divide their time in a busy ward or with a large community workload, between ward rounds, patient care and paper work, especially when staffing levels fall short and while a meal break should be a necessity, it is a luxury for some nurses. Hence, the UK government has made it mandatory for all employees to have a 20-minute rest break for every six hours that they work and nurses are entitled to spend this break away from their workstation.
