Effect of ritonavir/saquinavir on stereoselective pharmacokinetics of methadone: results of AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG) 401
Article Abstract:
HIV-infected drug addicts who are on methadone maintenance can take normal doses of the protease inhibitors ritonavir and saquinavir. The drugs affect the metabolism of methadone, but only the S form, which is metabolically inactive.

Effect of efavirenz on the pharmacokinetics of simvastatin, atorvastatin, and pravastatin: Results of AIDS clinical trials group 5108 study
Article Abstract:
An open label trial was conducted to assess the drug-drug interaction of efavirenz (EFV) used in combination with simvastatin (SIM), astorvastatin (ATR) or pravastatin (PRA). EFV when administered with SIM, ATR, or PRA can result in significant induction of stain metabolism.

Beneficial pharmacokinetic interaction between atazanavir and lopinavir/ritonavir
Article Abstract:
The steady-state pharmacokinetics (PK) interactions between atazanavir (ATV), ritonavir (RTV) and lopinavir (LPV) when coadministered at various doses are determined. An appropriate PK profile for ATV and LPV was indicated by the combination of ATV at a dose of 300 mg once daily plus LPV/r at a dose of 400/100 mg twice daily.
