Expanding the role of the pediatric nurse from inpatient to community health
Article Abstract:
The role of pediatric nurses was expanded to include community health nursing in a grant-funded preventative care program. Pediatric nursing staff participated in inpatient and home care services through the collaboration of departments. Positive outcomes were reported by the families and nursing staff.
