Elite athletes & back pain
Article Abstract:
A survey of 1000 Finnish national team members revealed that weightlifters and soccer players are more prone to back pains than athletes in other sports. The study also showed that individuals who are not athletes and who do not exercise are more susceptible to back pains than athletes.

The aging athlete: consistent exercise maintains strength and power
Article Abstract:
Athletes such as Martina Navratilova, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Nolan Ryan have been able to maintain their performance levels despite being in their 30s and 40s. The key to their sustained performance has been continuous exercise.
