Endoluminal repair of ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysms under local anesthesia: initial experience
Article Abstract:
A commercially approved endograft, the AneuRx stent graft, is used to repair ruptured infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysms (rAAAs) under local anesthesia in a selected subset of patients with ruptured aneurysm. It is concluded that in an important subset of rAAA patients, emergent repair by using a commercially available bifurcated endograft under local anesthesia is feasible with acceptable clinical outcomes.
