Engaging precontemplative dual diagnosis clients
Article Abstract:
A project that used music to engage service users with dual diagnosis problems is described. It is argued that mainstream substance misuse services often fail to engage dual diagnosis clients as they focus on motivating people who are already contemplating change rather than trying to engage precontemplators with services.

Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) is one of a group of disease known as transmissible spongiform encephalopathies, which is rare and fatal human neurogenerative condition that is characterised by a rapidly progressive dementia associated with ataxia and myoclonus. The features and diagnosis of CJD are presented.
