The shield of confidentiality may influence young persons to confide in a physician, accept treatment, and keep appointments for checkups. At the age of eleven years, patients begin to take charge of their own health. Doctors may agree to talk with parents following a private consultation. Physicians should familiarize themselves with applicable federal and state laws defining the doctor's responsibilities and the rights of minors to treatment.

Building a better file cabinet
Article Abstract:
ENT Specialists installed a document imaging system to store patient records, and the system has been a benefit in more ways than one. The system has enhanced the entire office operations as well as increased patient satisfaction and the care they receive. Interactions between medical providers were also enhanced.
