Facing cancer hand-in-hand
Article Abstract:
A lung cancer support nurse discusses the various aspects of her work. Collaboration with other health specialists, such as oncologists and surgeons, is detailed, and the differing physical and emotional needs of her patients are considered. The need for an individual approach to her work is highlighted, and the fact that working with lung cancer patients is not necessarily depressing is discussed. Her reasons for wanting to be a lung cancer support nurse are presented.
