Fifty years young: going on strong
Article Abstract:
The UK National Health Service (NHS) offers inexpensive and efficient health care, according to a report from the Institute of Public Policy Research. It uses its resources effectively, and gives better value for money and health care than under a privately financed health system. The report recommends that the NHS should remain a tax-funded system, a stance which has been welcomed by Health Secretary Frank Dobson.
