Frist bill further safeguards doctors from vaccine lawsuits
Article Abstract:
The Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) is addressing the issue of loophole in the law, in order to protect physicians and vaccine manufacturers from lawsuits, thus bringing reforms by way of introducing a bill by Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist who clarified that the law applies to the individual ingredients of vaccines. This bill provides Health and Human Services (HHS) administered grants to study the associations between vaccines and childhood disorders.
