Article Abstract:
Many practice nurses will be eligible to retire within the next 5 years, and their numbers dropped to 19,200 last year, with general practitioners (GPs) reporting practice nurse recruitment problems. Practice nurses are receiving low pay, are experiencing increased stress, due to growing workloads, and feel that they receive little government support.

A cardiology integrated care pathway (ICP), based on a nursing model, was developed by a team at Paddington, London, England's St. Mary's Hospital.
