Gloves to fit the bill
Article Abstract:
There are cost implications in the increased use of gloves in hospitals and there is evidence that they are not being worn when they should be and are not always changed at the correct times. National guidelines would help staff to know what to do. Vinyl gloves appear to be permeable to viruses and are more likely to split than latex gloves so these should not be worn when dealing with blood or bodily fluids. Co-polymer gloves tend to burst under pressure. Hands should be washed before and after using gloves.

Skin preparation for intramuscular injections
