Heavyweight danger
Article Abstract:
Physicians should treat obesity as a health problem because of the associated conditions it causes, medical experts say. Excess weight leads to approximately 300,000 premature deaths annually. More adults in the US are overweight than are at a healthy weight, according to a survey of 30,000 people by the National Center for Health Statistics. Researchers are unsure of the exact role that genetics and socioeconomic factors play in obesity.
