Help at hand for people dealing with prion disease
Article Abstract:
Humans can be affected by three different types of prion disease or Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD): sporadic, inherited, and acquired prion disease. Sporadic prion disease, which is classical CJD, makes up 80-85% of all cases of prion disease; while the inherited version accounts for 10-15% of cases. The disease affects the neurological system with symptoms identifiable in cognition, movement, communication, eating and drinking, and vision.

Implications of social enterprise for community nursing
Article Abstract:
Clinicians should develop business and financial skills to take up social enterprise opportunities for community nursing that offer communities, patients, users and staff the chance to innovate and reshape healthcare services. Social enterprises may be well placed to engage with the communities in which they work, since they are created to fulfill particular needs within particular communities.
