Home care is effective for MS
Article Abstract:
A study reveals that a nurse-led home treatment service for patients who suffer a relapse of multiple sclerosis (MS) is as safe and effective as hospital treatment and more popular with the patients. A group of 138 patients with MS are enrolled on the study and split into two groups, one group is treated at hospital-based infusion suite and the other group are visited at home by specialist MS nurses and findings show that patients who received home care are more satisfied.
