How do I select a commercial dental laboratory?
Article Abstract:
Dentists should visit local dental laboratories to evaluate their performance prior to selecting one with which to contract services. A laboratory should be clean and well-organized, and the dental prosthetics it produces should meet the dentist's standards of quality. A dentist should be able to speak with a technician directly to discuss difficult cases or manufacturing problems. Technicians who are certified, or have earned a Master of Dental Technology degree, should have up-to-date technical expertise, and participate in regular continuing education training.
