Nurses have a duty to be 'research aware' and be able to identify a gap in knowledge and retrieve relevant evidence. Are tympanic thermometers a source of cross-infection?
Article Abstract:
The study is conducted to find out if tympanic thermometers are a source of cross-infection in critical care and whether cleaning is effective. The findings of the study show that though tympanic thermometers are not a source of cross-infection in critical care, they do pose a risk of cross-infection.
