How to tackle verbal abuse
Article Abstract:
Verbal abuse of nurses has become a major problem in the workplace. The NHS Security Management Service (SMS), the organization that is responsible for all policy and operational matters related to NHS security, has introduced a training program to put nurses through courses on conflict resolution that teach how to tackle verbal abuse.

Most nurses are required to wear a uniform, which some feel makes their status visible and causes them to be treated more professionally. Some nurses, however, prefer the freedom to express their individuality and see scrubs as a more practical and versatile choice.
