Health care costs: separating fact from fiction
Article Abstract:
It has been falsely claimed that increasing medical care costs were the result in large part of the expense of medical malpractice insurance and the legal costs involved in malpractice defense. A recent study shows that settlements are rare and usually well-deserved. Furthermore, the Congressional Budget Office has published statistics showing that medical-legal costs amount to less than one percent of healthcare expenditures for the nation. Other statistics show that medical malpractice premiums have decreased.

Shock of the new
Article Abstract:
K2 Corp. makes bikes, skis, snowboards and inline skates using piezo technology. This results in significant reduction in unwanted vibrations, even on the roughest terrain. Its snowboards, for example, have 50-70% less vibration compared to its competitors. The microchips were originally used for F-18 fighter planes to control tail wing vibrations. The fusion of high technology, mass production and superior performance put K2 products on top of the competition.
