Identifying the development needs of community matrons
Article Abstract:
Focus groups for both newly appointed community matrons and community managers were set up in different primary care trusts (PCTs) to gain insight into the needs of community matrons from both the practitioners' and managers' perspectives. The groups concluded that PCTs need to ensure that community matrons have their learning needs assessed and to devise systems of work-based learning that allow for appropriate development.
